Østfold Dance Company for Youth invites all dancers aged 13 to 23 to Strekk dansefestival: A dance festival for young dancers in Østfold. Free workshops, auditions and performances! Audience of all ages are welcome to the performance on Saturday!

The first ever Strekk dance festival was held in 2022 – much to the delight of the region’s dance talents and audiences. Now we’re repeating the success and creating a tradition: Here, young dance takes center stage!

At the festival, the young participants can dance, watch performances and participate in conversations about dance. On Saturday afternoon we invite all audiences to a performance with Østfold Dance Company for Youth, and on Sunday we welcome those who want to join the company to audition! Admission to workshops and performances is free for all young dancers in Østfold!

Strekk workshops

We’re warming up with workshops for all participants: Different choreographers and dance styles are on the program – and of course there will be room for social breaks and chat! Participation is free for everyone between 13 and 23.

Performance with Østfold Dance Company for Youth

Saturday afternoon we open our doors to a performance with Østfold Dansekompani for Ungdom.

Audition to Østfold Dance Company for Youth

Would you like to join Østfold Dance Company for Youth? On the last day of Strekk dansefestival, the company will hold an audition for new members aged 13-22. The audition is in the form of a workshop, and you don’t need to prepare anything to participate.
