Exhibiton: The Wooden Head

The Man and the Crow: “The Wooden Head” is a sculpture exhibition with film screenings and theatrical situations – introducing the work of Vadmelsbanden in Fredrikstad. In collaboration with ØIT, the theatre company will develop a series of screenings inspired by the medieval ballad Kråkevisa (about a farmer meeting an enormous, possibly lethal crow). The exhibition will also be shown on Friday September 9th.

Artist talk with Durga Bishwokarma

Durga Bishwokarma is a resident artist at ØIT in 2022. She is educated at the Academy of Performing Arts and is residing in Fredrikstad, but originally comes from Nepal. In this conversation with artistic director Thomas Østgaard, she will talk about her work, i.a. with marginalized groups and themes such as discrimination and hierarchical social structures. The conversation will take place in English.
Frank Znort Quartet

After playing at Trosvikstranda (at The Future of Trosvikstranda?), the most active Sunday band of all time comes to ØIT to play two living room concerts. Famous for their Sunday concerts, the band has chosen the unofficial slogan “We Fuck Up Your Mondays” – look forward to energetic dancing among the café tables:)
