Happy New Year!

Østfold International Theater wish you a Happy New Year! We look back on 2021 with this beatiful Christmas card made by Simen Langeland.

We feel lucky to have had artists, partners, volunteers and audience joining us for another unusual, but wonderfully active year! Thanks to you, we have been able to present the many great productions, despite the pandemic.

The Christmas card for 2021 has included several of the theatre’s performances throughout the year. How many do you recognize? The main motif is “The Emphemeral Theater” – the monumental cardboard theater that was built on Stortorvet in Fredrikstad during Kulturnatt in September.

Christmas Holidays and the New Year

ØIT’s administration is back from holiday on January 3rd 2022.

With the hope of being able to welcome more than 50 people in the audience, we are preparing for great cultural experiences also in 2022, with i.a. world premiere and tour of This life or the next. The critically acclaimed We are warriors will visit Oslo in May, and if the corona situation allows it, upper secondary schools will be able to experience Building Conversation and In Search of Democracy 3.0 in February and March. In addition, choreographer Anna Anderegg is coming to Norway with an exciting project that we will tell more about during January / February.
