Happy holidays and 2024!

Østfold International Theatre would like to thank our audience and collaborative partners for 2023, and to wish you all a peaceful holiday.

The theatre will be closed from 18.12.2024 to 2.1.2024. The early months of the new year will be dedicated to young audiences and performers. First up is topical Dette livet eller det neste (This Life or the Next), with a new premiere in January. The stage play about young Tariq’s path from frustrated youth to terrorist convict will be performed as a touring production for 10th graders in Østfold county.

In March and April, beautiful and serious Sandstorm will be performed again, in Halden and Sarpsborg respectively. Carl André Johansson’s choreography for Østfold Dancecompany for Youth raises questions about what kind of world today’s generations leave behind for those who come next.

A similar theme will be found in the theatres further program for 2024. It is linked to an exciting project that will be launched on February 1, 2024! Stay tuned on website for more information, or sign up for our newsletter if you haven’t already done so!
