The newly established Østfold International Theater invites the region’s creative environment to Teatertreff! Here you can get to know the new theater and industry colleagues in an informal and entertaining setting.
Theater is a collective art. Therefore, it is a great advantage for the actors in the region, both actors, scenographers, sound and lighting designers, theaters, companies and more, to know each other and each other’s projects. That’s why we’re arranging a nice PechaKucha night!
The original event date of March 12th was moved due to the corona pandemic and we are now hosting an infection control-adapted version with a limited number of audience seats.
Broad program and small talk in Japanese
PechaKucha is the Japanese word for “small talk”. The format has become known all over the world as an effective, visual and inspiring form of communication: Each participant who is to present something is given 20 images of 20 seconds to do so.
The evening’s program focuses on performing artists. We have received many exciting and fun registrations and can promise the audience both breadth and depth in a concentrated format! Those who present are (subject to change, presentations in Norwegian):

About Østfold Internasjonale Teater:
From January 2020, the performing arts department in the former Østfold kulturutvikling is an independent theater owned by Viken County municipality and Fredrikstad municipality. The new theater is launched with a tight program of performances and activities in the center of Fredrikstad on the 8th to 10th of May.

Østfold International Theater, formerly Østfold kulturutvikling avd. Scenekunst, is located at Dokka 3A at Værste – a short walk from Fredrikstad city center. Teatertreffet will take place on Stage K60, on the ground floor.
For presenters:
All participants must submit their presentation to Anneli Sollie by June 1st.
TIP: We recommend finding 20 really good pictures – preferably full screen format and without frames – with as little text as possible. We want to hear you talk about something that means something to you and something you really can and are interested in, so the best thing is if you can do without a written script.
