Østfold Internasjonale Teater’s board of directors consists of five members and three deputy members. Four board members and their deputies are elected by the general meeting on the recommendation of the nomination committee. One board member and deputy are elected by and among the employees.
The board of directors is responsible for the company’s activities and shall ensure that the company’s objectives are promoted in the best possible way. The board shall establish plans and budgets for the company’s activities and has a duty to ensure that its activities, accounts and asset management are subject to satisfactory control and are in line with current good practice. The Board of Directors shall supervise the day-to-day management and the company’s operations in general and appoints the company’s artistic director. The artistic director is appointed on a fixed-term basis, for a period of up to 6 years, with the possibility of extension.
