Østfold International Theatre thanks you for accompanying us in 2024! The theater is closed for the holidays and will reopen January 6th. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and welcome back in 2025!

Coming in 2025

We open 2025 with a rocket launch of IN SITU PLATFORM, a four-year collaborative project aiming to promote the international collaboration and career opportunities of emerging artists working in public space. Østfold International Theatre is one of 24 partners from 22 countries in this project, which is supported by the EU cultural program Creative Europe. Here you can read more about the application process. The application form will be open from January 1st to January 31st 2025:

On stage, the first part of the new year will also be dominated by young people: The search for an upgraded democracy continues when both the theater performance and the interactive installation In Search of Democracy 3.0 go on school tours in Akershus, Vestfold and Østfold.

On February 8-9, we welcome Østfold’s young theater talents to a theater festival and regional meeting for all participants in Den Unge Scenen Østfold!

Østfold Dance Company for Youth will have another exciting year with the talent development project “Youth talents meet young choreographers” initiated by our partners Dansekunst i Østfold. We are proud to announce that emerging choreographer Live Skullerud will be the project choreographer in 2025!
